International Women’s Day: Delhi Metro organises online slogan & poem writing competition for women commuters

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is organising a slogan writing and a poem writing competition exclusively for its women commuters from March 8 to March 14 to commemorate the International Women's Day

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is organising a slogan writing and a poem writing competition exclusively for its women commuters from March 8 to March 14, 2022, to commemorate 'International Women's Day' which is celebrated every year on March 8 all over the world. The topic for the slogan and poem writing competition is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow."

According to an official press release from Delhi Metro, all women commuters of Delhi Metro can participate in this contest through our website www.delhimetrorail.com. All details pertaining to the competitions are also available on the website. Only online entries will be accepted till March 14, 2022 (midnight).

"A substantial percentage of Delhi Metro's commuters comprise of women who form an integral part of the system. Delhi Metro has always strived to provide a safe, comfortable and hassle-free journey to all its women commuters in the form of reserved seats in each coach and a separate ladies' coach," it added.

Winners will be selected based on the expression of thought, use of language, adherence to word limit, relevance to the theme etc. Results of the competitions will be announced after March 25. The selected entries will be facilitated with a certificate of appreciation and cash awards.
