IRCON CMD SK Chaudhary gets Honoris Causa Degree of D. Litt. by KIIT

New Delhi: Ircon International Limited's (IRCON) Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) SK Chaudhary has been conferred with the Honoris Causa Degree of D. Litt. (the degree is typically a doctorate) by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. He has been conferred with Honoris Causa D. Litt. for his outstanding leadership and great contributions to the infrastructure sector. The certificate was given to Chaudhary during 16th Annual Convocation of KIIT, held on virtual mode, on November 21. On the occasion, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has also been conferred with the Honoris Causa Degree of D. Litt.

Professor Achyuta Samanta the Founder of KIIT & KISS expressed his gratitude to Chaudhary for accepting Honoris Causa degrees from KIIT. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Chaudhary, IRCON has taken great leaps and has become a leading engineering and construction organisation with significant international footprints.

In his acceptance speech, Chaudhary said, "KIIT and its sister institution Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) have made tremendous contributions in the field of education in the last two decades. I congratulate the Founder of KIIT & KISS for doing such a great service to society."

SK Chaudhary is a Civil Engineering Graduate from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). He passed out from DCE in the year 1982 and then obtained a Master's Degree in Management & System from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has also done a PG Diploma in Alternate Dispute Resolution from the Indian Institute of Law. His professional experience spans around 38 years.
