Kuldeep Singh set to be next CMD of HIL (India) Limited

Kuldeep Singh, who is currently serving as Senior General Manager in National Seeds Corporation, has been recommended for the post of CMD of HIL (India) Limited

New Delhi: Kuldeep Singh is set to be the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of HIL (India) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is posted as Senior General Manager in National Seeds Corporation (NSC).

Singh has been recommended for the post of HIL CMD from a list of two candidates, who were shortlisted and interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on April 27. The other candidate on the list was from PEC Limited.

Singh is a Commerce Graduate (B Com) and Masters (MA in Economics) from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi. He also holds an LLB and a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM). He has an extensive experience in the Agriculture (Seed) sector spanning over 27 years. He has worked in the different portfolios and departments such as Head of Marketing Department in SFCI from 2001-14, Head of Production Department in NSC from 2014-21 and is currently appointed as the Head of Legal, Corporate Affairs and Innovative Cell.

As CMD of HIL India Ltd, Singh will be the Chief Executive of the company and will be accountable to its Board of Directors, Government and Shareholders. He will also be responsible for the efficient functioning of the company, and for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
