MTNL’s Director (Technical) Sanjeev Kumar set to be CMD TCIL

Sanjeev Kumar, who is currently serving as Director (Technical) in MTNL, has been selected for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL)

New Delhi: Sanjeev Kumar is set to be next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications. He has been selected for the post by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 18. He is currently serving as Director (Technical) in the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), a debt-ridden PSU under the Department of Telecommunications.

"Keeping in view of the performance of the candidates during an interview with special regard to their seniority, age profile, suitability, experience, academic background, managerial capabilities, leadership, and broad vision, the search-cum-selection committee recommended, for appointment to the post of chairman-cum-managing director, TCIL, Shri Sanjeev Kumar, director (Technical), MTNL," the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in a notification said.

Kumar has been recommended for the appointment on the post of CMD of TCIL from a list of eight candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were three candidates, who were on the list, were from TCIL, two from BSNL and one candidate was from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL).
