MV Iyer set to be Director (Business Development) of GAIL

New Delhi: (PESB Recommendation) MV Iyer is set to be Director (Business Development) of GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. Iyer's name has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Currently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same Maharatna Gas PSU. The post of Director (Business Development) of GAIL is vacant since February 15, 2020.

Iyer has been recommended for the post of Director (Business Development) of GAIL (India) Limited from a list of six candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. The list had three candidates from GAIL (India) Limited and one each from Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited & Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

As Director (Business Development) of GAIL (India) Limited, Iyer will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will responsible for all strategic planning and business development activities of the company.
