NCL CMD Bhola Singh visits Block-B coal mine

New Delhi: Northern Coalfields Limited's (NCL) Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Bhola Singh visited the Block-B OCP. During his visit, Singh inspected the operations, first-mile connectivity (FMC) project, mine infrastructure, heavy machines etc. He also reviewed the current production, dispatch and future roadmap of the project.

During the visit, he especially emphasized environmental protection and passed on the necessary directives to concerned officials for massive plantation, dust suppression and maintenance of roads.

Singh also set the momentum to expedite the process of Forest and Environmental clearance. He exhorted the team Block B to pave the path to produce 8 MT Coal in the next financial year in wake of the growing energy demand of the nation.

Singh appreciated the way the heavy machines and CHP are being taken care of and expressed satisfaction on coal exposure and quality of coal.

Notably, the Block B area has been entrusted with the production target of 5.47 MT for FY 2021-22, whereas till date the unit has produced 4.64 MT of Coal with a remarkable 10 percent growth against the target till date.
