NHAI’s MD Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TA&FS) gets tenure extension

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)'s Managing Director (MD) Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TA&FS) has been given a tenure extension for a period of three months

New Delhi: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH)'s Joint Secretary Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TA&FS), who is also holding additional charge of NHAI's Managing Director (MD's) post, has been given tenure extension on his additional charge. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of assignment of the additional charge of the post of MD of NHAI to Ahmed, for a period of three months beyond December 31, 2021, i.e. up to March 31, 2022, or till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

Ahmed is an Indian P&T Accounts and Finance Service (IP&TA&FS) officer of 1993-batch. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Transport & Highways and holding the additional charge of MD post since October 2021.
