NHPC CMD visits 520 MW Teesta-IV HE project in Sikkim

During his visit to the 520 MW Teesta-IV HE project in Sikkim, the NHPC CMD met Minister of Rural Management & Development of Sikkim, Sonam Lama, and discussed about various pending issues related to the project

New Delhi: NHPC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) AK Singh made a visit to Sikkim on January 22 along-with NHPC Limited's Director (Technical) YK Chaubey. In his maiden visit to Sikkim after taking over charge as CMD, Singh met Minister of Rural Management & Development, Government of Sikkim, Sonam Lama and discussed various pending issues related to the 520 MW Teesta-IV HE project in Sikkim. Singh also apprised the minister of the status of other NHPC projects in Sikkim, including the 500 MW Teesta-VI Project. The minister assured his full support and cooperation to NHPC.

Earlier upon their arrival, CMD and Director (Technical) were given a warm welcome by NHPC's Executive Director (Siliguri Region) D Chattopadhyay, General Manager (I/c) of Teesta-V Power Station Sahadev Khatua, CEO of Teesta-VI HE Project Sandeep Kumar, and other senior officers of NHPC at Gangtok.
