NHPC joins hands with Govt Hydro Engineering College, Bilaspur

New Delhi: To facilitate effective utilization of the intellectual capabilities of both the organizations and to pursue academic opportunities in the field of Hydro Power, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between NHPC Limited and Govt. Hydro Engineering College (GHEC), Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday at the corporate office of NHPC, Faridabad.

The MoU has been signed by NHPC Limited's Executive Director (HR) Avinash Kumar and GHEC Bilaspur's Director-cum-Principal Professor Dr RK Awasthi in the august presence of NHPC's Director (Technical) YK Chaubey. NHPC's Executive Director (SBD&C) VK Maini and Executive Director (Geology) SL Kapil were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers.

The signing of MoU will boost collaboration and co-operation between both the organisations by promoting effective use of its resources and will provide each of them with enhanced opportunities for research & development, skill development, technical education and knowledge sharing in the fields of Hydro Engineering.

This MoU would be of major benefit to the student community to enhance their skills and knowledge through valuable inputs by NHPC in teaching or training methodology and suitable suggestions to customize the curriculum so that the students fit into the industrial scenario meaningfully. Both organisations will benefit from joint research activities in the fields of hydropower.
