NHPC to purchase 680 MW solar power form these private producers

NHPC signs Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Eden Renewable Passy Private Limited for 300 MW and Altra Xergi Power Private Limited for purchase of 380 MW solar power under the 2000 MW ISTS grid-connected Solar Photo Voltaic Projects

New Delhi: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower utility has signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) on August 31 with Eden Renewable Passy Private Limited for 300 MW and with Altra Xergi Power Private Limited (SPV of O2 Power SG PTE LTD.) for 380 MW for procurement of Solar Power at the tariff of Rs. 2.55/kWh at NHPC corporate office for 25 years on a long term basis. The power purchased by NHPC shall be supplied to Madhya Pradesh for which Power Sale Agreement (PSA) have already been signed.

NHPC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) AK Singh, Director (Finance) MK Mittal, Director (Technical) YK Chaubey, Executive Director (Commercial) NS Parameshwaran, ED, Executive Director (Renewable Energy) RK Jaiswal and Shri Himangshu Saha, Engineer In-charge of 2,000 MW scheme graced the occasion with their august presence. The PPAs were signed by NHPC's General Manager (Power Trading) SP Rathour on behalf of NHPC and Vivek Kodesia for Eden Renewable Passy Private Limited and Parag Sharma CEO for Altra Xergi Power Private Limited (SPV O2 Power SG PTE LTD.) .
