NRDC signs MoU with Anna University

The MoU signed between NRDC and Anna University pertains to the setting up of NRDC-Anna University-Innovation Facilitation Centre

Chennai: Anna University, Chennai, signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), an enterprise of the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

NRDC Chairman Dr H Purushotham and Anna University Registrar Dr L Karunamoorthy signed and exchanged the MoU at Anna University Campus in the presence of Prof Dr MK Surappa, Vice Chancellor at Anna University, Prof Dr M. Kanthababu, Director at Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), Prof Dr K Baskar, Director at Centre for Technology Development & Transfer (CTDT) and Prof Dr D Mohan Lal, Director at Planning & Development.

This MoU with NRDC was signed for the setting up of NRDC-Anna University-Innovation Facilitation Centre (NRDC-AU-IFC) at Anna University, Chennai. Through this MoU, NRDC-AU-IFC will facilitate IP generation and enhancement of the commercialisation of research at Anna University, provide IPR-related services to the faculty, researchers and scientists and create awareness on IPR protection and commercialisation of technologies.
