NRL receives FAME International Award for excellence in environment management

New Delhi: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has been awarded the 'FAME International Award 2020-2021' for excellence in environment management in the Platinum category for its sustained efforts towards environment management by adopting the best practices.

The award has been presented by Kamalesh Kumar Pant (IAS), who is Principal Secretary (Science & Technology) cum Finance Commissioner to the Government of Himachal Pradesh and Chairman of HP State Pollution Control Board at the FAME National & International Summit and Award Ceremony on July 29 in Shimla in presence of Sudesh Kumar Mokhta (IAS) Director (Environmental Science & Technology) and Director (Revenue), Govt of Himachal Pradesh, FAME India's Chairman DD Sharma and other dignitaries. The award comprising of a citation and trophy was received by NRL's Senior Manager {Technical Services (Env)} Kapil Medhi.

FAME INDIA is a non-profit organisation registered body of people of Indian origin. The organisation's aim is to organise and conduct award ceremonies to recognise and honour individuals and organisations/associations for their outstanding contribution in the field of national economic and social development and conduct public awareness programs on social issues, women self-defence programs, women empowerment & education, environmental protection, plantation and other social activities.
