NSIC Director (P&M) receives Rashtriya ICON award

The award has been given to P Udaykumar by General VK Singh for his contribution to the growth of MSME sector in India

New Delhi: National Small Industries Corporation's (NSIC) Director (Planning and Marketing) P Udaykumar has been conferred with "Rashtriya ICON award." The award was presented to Udaykumar in recognition of his contribution towards the growth of MSME sector in India. The award was conferred by Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways General VK Singh (Retd), in the presence of Dr Satyapal Singh, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister, at a function held in New Delhi on Friday.

Udayakumar was appointed as Director (Planning and Marketing) at NSIC in September 2010. Prior to joining NSIC, he was serving as Chief Manager at Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited. He has done a postgraduate diploma in Marketing Management from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He also has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from Anna University, Chennai.

NSIC has been working to promote, aid and foster the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.
