NTPC’s Yogendra Prasad Shukla set to be next Director (Finance) of HOCL

Yogendra Prasad Shukla, who is currently serving as Deputy General Manager in NTPC Limited, has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL)

New Delhi: Yogendra Prasad Shukla is set to be the next Director (Finance) of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Chemical Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers. Shukla has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel. He is currently serving as Deputy General Manager in NTPC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power.

Shukla has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of HOCL from the list of two candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. Another candidate was from HOCL.

Shukla is a science graduate and professionally a Cost Accountant. He is currently heading the Finance Department of the 1,760 MW Tanda Thermal Power Project of NTPC Limited Located in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has undergone several pieces of training with reputed institutions. He carries with him a rich professional experience of more than 22 years having served organisations like BEML and NTPC having exposure to the entire gamut of Finance and Accounts functions.

As Director (Finance) of HOCL, Shukla will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be in overall charge of the finance and accounts functions of the organisation and is responsible for evolving and formulating related policies and their implementation.

HOCL was incorporated in 1956 with the objective of setting up chemicals manufacturing units for the production of organic chemicals and chemical intermediates. It is a Miniratna PSU under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
