Oil India appoints 3 Independent Directors to its Board

The Board of Directors of Oil India Limited (OIL) has approved the appointment of three Independent Directors to the company

New Delhi: Oil India Limited (OIL) has announced the appointment of three Independent Directors to its Board. As per communication received from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), OIL informed the stock exchanges that the Board of Directors of the company have appointed Pooja Suri, Raju Revanakar and Samik Bhattacharya as Independent Directors on the Board with effect from November 18.

Pooja Suri is a prominent Lawyer in Delhi High Court since 2006. She holds a degree in BA, LLB. She is presently the Hony. Member of Managing Committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has 15 years of experience in litigation, covering the areas of Civil Law, Company Law, Constitutional Law, Service Laws, alternative dispute resolution, pre-litigation mechanism and Criminal Law. She has also special expertise in anti-corruption law, handling legal cases of heinous offences and white-collar crimes, Consumer Protection Law and commercial disputes. Her legal acumen and foresight facilitate the resolution of complex legal disputes.

Raju Revanakar holds a BSc degree from Basaveshwar Science College, Bagalkot. He is a self-employed individual having his own business in jewellery and construction sector. He is an eminent social activist in Bagalkot district and has been carrying out various social welfare activities for the last 30 years for the downtrodden.

Samik Bhattacharya is a graduate in Humanities from the Prestigious Calcutta University. He is an ardent orator and specialises in communication, general management and creativity. He is an eminent social worker and is presently working in Kolkata, West Bengal. He has been actively involved in various social service activities for the past four decades.
