PESB names Rajan Kanwar for National Fertilizers’ Director (Technical) post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Rajan Kanwar for the National Fertilizers' Director (Technical) post

New Delhi: Rajan Kanwar is set to be the next Director (Technical) of National Fertilizer Limited (NFL), a PSU under the Department of Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is posted as a Unit Head at NFL's Vijaipur Unit.

Kanwar has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of NFL from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 11. There were a total of four candidates, including Kanwar, thoese were on the list, were from NFL and one candidate was from Petronet LNG Ltd.

Kanwar is a Chemical Engineer by profession. He has been associated with NFL for more than 33 years. With an extensive experience in project management, operation and maintenance of plants, he has also served in Nangal and Panipat plants.

As Director (Technical) of NFL, Kanwar will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will act as head of the projects/ technical/ operations division of the company. His principal responsibility will be to exercise control over the efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner that would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He will also act as the Principal Adviser of the company in all technical and operational matters.
