PESB picks Anil Kumar Tulsiani for SAIL’s Director (Finance) post

Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Anil Kumar Tulsiani for the post of Director (Finance) of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL)

New Delhi: Anil Kumar Tulsiani is set to be the next Director (Finance) of Steel Authority of India (SAIL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection (PESB) panel. He is currently serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Tulsiani has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of SAIL, from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were a total of six candidates including Tulsiani, who were on the list were from SAIL and one candidate was from Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). The post of Director (Finance) in SAIL, will fall vacant on January 1, 2022. Currently, Amit Sen is serving as Director (Finance) in the company.

As Director (Finance) of SAIL, Tulsiani will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman. He will be overall in charge of the finance and accounts of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies related to finance and accounts as well as implementation.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is a Maharatna PSU in the steel sector with the administrative jurisdiction of the Ministry of Steel. The company employed 69,379 regular employees as on March 31, 2020. The authorized and paid-up capital of the company was Rs 5000 crore and Rs 4130.53 crore respectively as on March 31, 2020. Its registered and corporate offices are at New Delhi.
