PESB recommends Pankaj Kumar for ONGC Director (Offshore) post

The PESB has recommended Pankaj Kumar for the post of Director (Offshore) of state-run Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Pankaj Kumar for the post of Director (Offshore) of state-run Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Kumar is currently serving as an Executive Director at ONGC and was picked by the selection panel from a list of seven candidates. Out of seven candidates, five were from within ONGC, while one was from GAIL (India) Limited and another from the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH).

The names of five candidates from ONGC included Sandeep Gupta, Namit Sharma, Pankaj Kumar, Omkar Nath Gyani and C Mathavan. In addition, Ajay Tripathi, ED at GAIL, and Anand Gupta, Additional Director General from DGH were in the fray.

Pankaj Kumar

Kumar is an alumnus of IIT-Roorkee. He also holds an M Tech degree in Process Engineering and Plant Design from IIT-Delhi. And he is currently working as Asset Manager of Ahmedabad Asset of ONGC and is the youngest executive director to take charge of the position at 53.

Currently, Rajesh Kumar Srivastava holds additional charge of the post of Director (Offshore) at ONGC. Srivastava was given additional charge of the position after Rajesh Kakkar superannuated from the post on April 30.
