PFC gets Rajbasha Kirti Puraskar for 6th year in a row

CMD PFC Rajeev Sharma received the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar form Union Home Minister Amit Shah for implementation of the government's official language policy

New Delhi: Power Finance Corporation Limited's (PFC) Chairman and Managing Director, Rajeev Sharma has been awarded first prize in 'Rajbhasha Keerti Puraskar' for implementation of the government's official language policy, in a function held on Friday. Union Home Minister, Amit Shah presented the award to the CMD PFC on the occasion of 'Hindi Diwas 2019.' PFC received this coveted award for 6th time in a row in recognition of the excellent work the corporation has done for the promotion of Hindi. Rajeev Sharma had taken over the charge of CMD of PFC on October 1, 2016.

As CMD, PFC he is spearheading the operations of PFC and playing a critical role in the implementation key scheme of government such as Integrated power development Scheme, 24×7 Power to all, Ultra Mega Power Projects, Impalement Transmission power project and Ujjawal Discom Assurance Yojana.

PFC is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power. PFC has been conferred the title of a 'Navratna CPSE' in June 2007 and was classified as an Infrastructure Finance Company by the RBI on July 28, 2010. PFC is playing a crucial role in the rise of India as a global player. PFC is the 8th highest profit-making CPSE as per the department of public enterprises survey for FY 2017-18. PFC is India's largest NBFC and also India's largest infrastructure finance company.
