Power Grid to set up ITI in Rajasthan; signs MoU

Power Grid has signed an MoU with the state government of Rajasthan for the establishing an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Shergarh in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan

New Delhi/Jaipur: Power Grid will establish an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Shergarh, Jodhpur district in Rajasthan. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Power Grid and the government of Rajasthan through the Department of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship on January 27 in Jaipur for establishing the institute.

Power Grid will establish this ITI by facilitating and providing all machineries, tools, tackles, furniture etc. for classrooms & workshops in eight different trades which will benefit the young population of Jodhpur and other districts of Rajasthan.

This step will give a boost to government's initiatives of 'Skill India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat.'

The agreement has been signed by Power Grid's Director (Personnel) VK Singh and Rajasthan's Secretary (Labour, Employment, Skill, Entrepreneurship and ESI) Neeraj K Pawan in a ceremony held in Jaipur. Power Grid's Executive Director (HRD, CC & Rajbhasha) Anil Saberwal and other senior officials were also present during the ceremony.
