POWERGRID signs MoU with the govt for FY 2020-21

Powergrid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Power the financial year 2020-21 (FY 2020-21)

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Power on September 29. The MoU has been signed by the Ministry of Power's Secretary Sanjiv Nandan Sahai and POWERGRID's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) K Sreekant in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Power and POWERGRID. 

The MoU includes targets related to various parameters such as financial, physical, project execution, etc. to be achieved by POWERGRID during the financial year 2020-21.

POWERGRID, a Maharatna PSU and the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of the country, has been consistently receiving the highest rating under MoU since the signing of the first MoU for the financial year 1993-94. As on March 31, the company owns and operates over 163,282 ckm of transmission lines, 248 EHV sub-stations with a transformation capacity of more than 4,09,899 MVA.
