Rajan Sehgal (IFoS) set to be Managing Director of NBCFDC

New Delhi: Rajan Sehgal (IFoS) is set to be the next Managing Director of National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Thursday. He is currently serving as Chairman & Managing Director of the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC).

Sehgal has been recommended for the post of Managing Director of NBCFDC from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were a total of two candidates who were from Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and one each from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Indian Forest Service and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).

Sehgal is a 1992-batch Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer of the Kerala cadre. He has been serving as CMD of NHFDC since February 2019.

National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) was incorporated on January 13, 1992, as a non-profit company under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India to improve and develop the economic activities for the members of Backward Classes who are living below double the poverty line.
