Ram Baboo Prasad going to be next Director (Technical) of Central Coalfields Ltd

Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Ram Baboo for the post of Director (Technical) of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)

New Delhi: Ram Baboo Prasad is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on December 28. He is currently serving as General Manager in Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Singrauli-based Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal.

Prashad has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of CCL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were two candidates from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), two candidates from NLC India Limited and one each from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Coal India Limited (CIL) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited.

Prasad is an Engineering Graduate in Mining Engineering from the premier mining Institute IIT (ISM), Dhanbad.

As Director (Technical) of CCL, Prasad will be a member of the Board of Directors of CCL and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for the operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
