RINL-VSP installs 500kW rooftop solar plant at admin building

New Delhi/Visakhapatnam: RINL-VSP in its endeavour to generate more renewable energy resources, took up the installation of solar power panels on the rooftops of the big buildings where there is scope to capture abundant sunlight. One of such rooftop solar power plant at Administrative building has been inaugurated by RINL-VSP's Director (Personnel) Kishore Chandra Das and Director (Projects) KK Ghosh on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion Director (Personnel) appreciated the work done by VSP collective and Clean Max. He said that RINL is planning to introduce further rooftop solar power plants under corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate environmental responsibility (CER) in the school buildings in Township and also at the areas where the unusable land can be used for such projects.

RINL's Chief General Manager (Projects) R Srinivasa Rao, Chief General Manager (D&E) Ajith Kumar and senior officers of projects and personal division were also present. The rooftop solar plants on the Town Administration Building and Visakha Steel General Hospital (VSGH) have been inaugurated on the same day. With this, installation of solar power plants of a total capacity of 500 KW on roof-tops has been completed. RINL is already running a 5 MW solar power plant.

The projects are designed, supplied and commissioned by Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Limited, Mumbai as a part of power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years with RINL for setting up 500kW rooftop solar projects.
