SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant provides liquid medical Oxygen to Odisha and other states

New Delhi/Rourkela: In view of the rising cases of COVID and the dire need of medical-grade oxygen for the critically ill patients, SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) along with its BOO (Build, Own & operate) Plant of Linde has been consistently supplying liquid medical oxygen (LMO).

Apart from fulfilling the requirements of the State of Odisha, RSP along with its associate unit has been supplying LMO to States such as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. As per the instructions of the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan, RSP has sent a tanker filled with LMO to Delhi on the night of April 22. In the month of April so far, more than 1,300 tonnes of LMO has been supplied to different parts of the country.
