Sanjay Kumar Singh appointed as Director (Technical) in BCCL

New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar Singh has been appointed as Director (Technical) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Coal for the appointment of Singh as Director (Technical) of BCCL. He is currently serving as General Manager in Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).

According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singh has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till June 30, 2023, i.e. the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Further, the ACC has also approved the proposal of the Ministry of Coal, for the extension of the additional charge of the post of Director (Technical) of BCCL, assigned to Eastern Coalfields Limited's (ECL) Director (Technical) JP Gupta for a further period of three months with effect from January 1, 2022, or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
