Satendra Singh (IAS) & Upendra C Joshi (IRTS) appointed part-time Directors in NALCO

The government has appointed Satendra Singh (IAS) & Upendra C Joshi (IRTS) as part-time official Directors of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO)

New Delhi: National Aluminium Company (NALCO) Limited on Thursday announced that Satendra Singh (IAS) & Upendra C Joshi (IRTS) has been appointed as part-time official Director of the company's board with effect from August 5. In a regulatory filing to the stock exchange, NALCO said, Satendra Singh has been appointed as a part-time official director of the company with effect from August 5. With his new charge, he has succeeded Dr K Rajeswara Rao, former Additional Secretary of Ministry of Mines. Singh is a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (lAS) officer of Jharkhand cadre. He is currently working as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines.

Further, Upendra C Joshi has been appointed as a Part-time Official Director of the company with effect from August 5. With his new charge, Joshi has replaced Anil Kumar Nayak, former Joint Secretary of Ministry of Mines. Joshi is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of 1989-batch. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines.

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO)

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), incorporated in 1981, is a Navratna PSU, having integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power under the Ministry of Mines. It is one of the largest integrated Bauxite-Alumina-Aluminium-Power complexes in the country, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations.
