SCOPE & IOE, Geneva to work together

SCOPE and Organisation Internationale des Employeurs (IOE), Geneva will work together to strengthen sustainable Business Environment

New Delhi: SCOPE (Standing Conference of Public Enterprises) and OIE (Organisation Internationale des Employeurs), Geneva have come forward to work on areas that are of common interest to both the bodies and work towards strengthening Sustainable Business Environment. In a recently held event SCOPE's Director-General Atul Sobti had a meeting with visiting IOE Geneva's Secretary-General Roberto Saurez Santos at SCOPE Headquarters. SCOPE and IOE have mutually agreed to work in future on areas of common interests. In the meeting, fruitful discussions were held on various employment and policy issues and both the organisation have agreed to work together for strengthening the sustainable business environment.

The meeting was attended by senior representatives from Public Sector Enterprises.

Organisation Internationale des Employeurs (OIE), Geneva

The IOE is the largest network of the private sector in the world, with more than 150 business and employer organisation members. For almost 100 years, in social and employment policy debate taking place in the ILO, to which the IOE is the sole representative of the business, and across the UN, G20 and other emerging forums, the IOE is recognised for its expertise, advocacy and influence as a powerful and balanced voice for business at the international level.

Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE)

Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) is the apex body of central government-owned public enterprises (PSUs). SCOPE has all the Central Public Enterprises, a few state government enterprises and some nationalised banks as its members.
