SG Choudhury set to be next Director (Finance) of BCPL

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Srikumar Ghose Choudhury for the post of Director (Finance) of Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited (BCPL)

New Delhi: Srikumar Ghose Choudhury is set to be the next Director (Finance) of Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited (BCPL), a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Additional General Manager (AGM) of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE).

Choudhury has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of BCPL from a list two candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on December 5. The other candidate on the list was from IREL (India) Limited.

As Director (Finance) of BCPL, Choudhury will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Managing Director. He will advise the Managing Director and the Board of Directors in the formulation of sound policies relating to finance and accounts and to direct, coordinate and manage the company's finances so as to achieve effective and optimal deployment and utilisation thereof towards the fulfilment of the goals and objectives of the company.
