Shankar Nagachari set to be Director (Technical) of CMPDIL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Shankar Nagachari for the post of Director (Technical) of CMPDIL

New Delhi: Shankar Nagachari is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. He is currently serving as General Manager, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), another subsidiary of CIL.

Nagachari has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of CMPDIL from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its selection meeting held on Wednesday. The candidates, who were on the list were one each from CMPDIL, SECL, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), NLC India Limited and Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited.

As Director (Technical) of CMPDIL, Nagachari will be a member of the Board of Directors of CMPDIL and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will advise in matters relating to exploration, mines safety and technical activities.
