Surender Mehra (IFoS) appointed as CVO of BSNL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Surender Mehra (IFoS) as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Surender Mehra (IFoS) as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on April 23. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Mehra has been appointed to the post for a period of up to February 4, 2024 (combined 5 years) from the date of taking over charge of the post pr until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mehra is an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer of the 1999-batch. He is an engineering graduate from NIT-Kurukshetra and an alumnus of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU). He has held as Field Director of Corbett Tiger Reserve. Currently, he is serving as DIG of the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
