Sushma Rawat gets ACC clearance for appointment as Director (Exploration) of ONGC

New Delhi: Sushma Rawat is all set to become the new Director (Exploration) of Maharatna oil PSU Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Limited. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) for her appointment for the post on Monday.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Rawat has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of her assumption of charge of the post on or after January 1, 2023, till the date of her superannuation i.e. June 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, she is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

The Public Enterprises Selection (PESB) panel had recommended her name for ONGC's Director (Exploration) post in its interview held on September 13. She was recommended for the post from a list of six candidates who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel.
