Climate Change and Global Warming have emerged as the biggest threat to humankind in the 21st century. Aviation has a pivotal role to play in mitigating its alarming effects by reducing CO2 emissions under the framework of the ICAO Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). New low carbon technologies, use of renewable energy and biofuel will help decarbonise the industry and achieve the objective of sustainability. In fact, the entire aviation ecosystem needs to be evaluated to make it more resilient towards emerging environmental challenges.
