Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: Commencement of ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ in REIL

REIL will be celebrating 'Swachhta Pakhwada' from August 16 to August 31 under the ambitious project of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’

Jaipur: Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) is celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada from August 16 to August 31 under the ambitious project of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' of the government. The Swachhta Pakhwada will be commenced by the REIL's Managing Director Rakesh Chopra by administering the oath of cleanliness to his fellow employees on August 16 at the factory premises. In view of the Corona epidemic, the cleanliness pledge program will be organised through virtual medium in compliance with the prescribed guidelines.

On the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada, Chopra informed that under the guidelines received from the Ministry of Heavy Industries and the prescribed action plan, various activities related to cleanliness would be conducted in the company's premises, REIL House and all the Regional Offices across the country. On this occasion in view of the wide spread publicity and awareness of cleanliness, banners and posters related to cleanliness would be displayed.

An awareness campaign will be run to completely ban of 'Single Use Plastic.' Under this program by personally contacting the citizens or residents of the nearby locations of the company premises would be contacted personally and awareness among them would be spread under the cleanliness campaign by interacting with them with the aim of being aware of cleanliness and banning the use of 'Single Use Plastic.' The slogan competition on 'Swachhta' has been organised during Swachhta Pakhwada to increase maximum participation of the employees. In this sequence along with the cleaning of toilets in the company premises, their maintenance work would be ensured as well as the tanks for the drinking water system would also be cleaned.

The application of recognised technology "'5S" would be implemented for the perpetuation of cleanliness, under which the goods kept in the Company premises like files, furniture etc. would be kept in the prescribed standards like duly listed, set in order, shine, standardization and stable / self-discipline. Action would be ensured on the basis of the systematic arrangement. During this cleanliness and cleanliness arrangements would also be ensured in all the Departments of the Company. During this, the Department which maintains the best cleanliness would be selected and rewarded. Along with this, sanitation workers who have done excellent work in the field of cleanliness would be selected and honoured.

During the 'Swachhta Pakhwada,' all the old records in the office will be identified and sorted under the record retention program and their digitisation work would also be ensured to make them more organized. Inspection and maintenance of toilets would also be done.
