New Delhi: The nation is fighting a battle against the Coronavirus and in this crisis period supply of medical essentials like vaccines, oxygen concentrators, oximeter and other essentials are of utmost importance. In this fight, AAI's Raipur Airport is also playing a significant role by ensuring an uninterrupted supply of all the medical essentials.
A total of 171 boxes of COVID Vaccine have been transported through various airlines till May 17 through the Raipur Airport. To overcome the oxygen crisis for the country, a total of six empty oxygen tankers (90 Ton), 1108 pieces of Oxygen concentrators, 350 filled oxygen cylinders and 180 empty Oxygen cylinders were transported by Indian Air Force aircraft like C17, C130J, AN 32 from April 9 to May 17. COVID Vaccines have transported through various airlines also.
Apart from this, Raipur Airport has also taken part in the nationwide vaccination drive by organising vaccination camps for all the frontline workers and stakeholders working at the airport including airlines, and ground handling agencies in collaboration and support from Govt. of Chhattisgarh, taking all safety measures into consideration.
Raipur Airport is also following all the COVID-19 related guidelines and protocols as per the instructions of the central and state governments to ensure a safe journey for passengers. The airport staff makes continuous requests to all the passengers, stakeholders, visitors, employees etc. to always follow COVID appropriate behaviour and maintain staggered timing to minimise crowding. To create awareness regarding COVID appropriate behaviour, ensuring the safety of passengers, the airport is also displaying instructions through several electronic and permanent displays at the terminal.
