Uthayaraja set to be next Director (MB) of Balmer Lawrie

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Uthayaraja for the post of Director (Manufacturing Business) of Balmer Lawrie

New Delhi: Uthayaraja is set to be the next Director (Manufacturing Business) of Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Industrial Packaging & Chemicals) in the same organisation.

Uthayaraja has been recommended for the post of Director (Manufacturing Business) of Balmer Lawrie from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were a total of three candidates, who were from Balmer Lawrie and one each from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

Uthayaraja is an Engineering Graduate (Chemical Engineering) from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He has been serving in Balmer Lawrie since December 2014.

Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. is a PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The company is engaged in manufacturing steel barrels and drums, greases and lubricants and leather chemicals and providing services in the areas of travel and tours, logistics, container freight station, Warehousing and distribution, refinery and oil field services, temperature-controlled warehouse etc through its plants, sales offices, branch offices, technical service centres spread all over India.
