Vinod Kumar Mishra takes over the additional charge of MD & CEO of Petronet LNG Limited

Vinod Kumar Mishra, who is currently serving as Director (Finance) of Petronet LNG Limited, has taken over the additional charge of Managing Director & CEO of the corporation

New Delhi: Vinod Kumar Mishra has taken over the additional charge as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Petronet LNG Limited on Monday. Mishra is currently serving as Director (Finance) of the organisation. He has been given additional charge of the post for a period with effect from September 14, till the new incumbent joins as MD & CEO of the company. With this, he has replaced Prabhat Singh, who superannuated from the serviced on the same day. This information has been shared by the company during the regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Monday.

Mishra's profile

Mishra is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He holds a degree in MBA (Finance) and Law as well. He possesses a rich experience of about three decades in the area of corporate finance, Direct and Indirect taxes, treasury Management, etc. Mishra had assumed the charge of Director (Finance) at Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) on April 18, 2018. Prior to joining PLL, he was Chief General Manager (Finance) at GAIL (India) Limited. He has held the position of Director in GAIL Global USA, INC, Houston (USA), a wholly subsidiary company of GAIL (India) Limited.

Petronet LNG Limited, one of the companies in the Indian energy sector, has set up the country's first LNG receiving and regasification terminal in Dahej, Gujarat, and another terminal in Kochi, Kerala. Formed as a joint venture by the government of India to import LNG and set up LNG terminals in the country, it involves India's leading oil and natural gas industry players. Its promoters are GAIL, ONGC, IndianOil and BPCL. The company is in the process to build a third terminal in Gangavaram, Andhra Pradesh.
