Yogesh Kumar Misra set to be next CMD of IRCON

Yogesh Kumar Misra, who is currently serving as Director (Works) of IRCON, has been recommended for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company

New Delhi: Yogesh Kumar Misra is set to be the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Ircon International Limited (IRCON), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Currently, he is serving as Director (Works) in the same organisation. Upon the superannuation of Sunil Kumar Chaudhary on April 31, IRCON's Director (Finance) Mukesh Kumar Singh was given the additional charge of CMD post.

Misra has been recommended for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of IRCON from the list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were total of two candidates, who were from IRCON and one each from NBCC (India) Limited, Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL), Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), Indian Railways Service of Engineers and Repco Home Finance Limited.

Misra graduated in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He is an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer of the 1987 batch and has over 29 years of rich and varied experience in infrastructure works. He joined IRCON in 2006 and subsequently took absorption in IRCON. He has made a valuable contribution while working earlier on the Design & Construction of J&K Rail Link Project and on other Railway capacity enhancement works. Under his leadership, IRCON has secured several projects within India and foreign countries.
