Following the detection of the issue in the IP-based AMSS, an urgent review meeting was convened by Samir Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, with Vipin Kumar, Chairman, AAI, M. Suresh, Member (Air Navigation Services), and senior officials. Immediate instructions were issued to identify and rectify the root cause of the problem.

To ensure operational continuity and safety, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) was promptly engaged, and additional manpower was deployed to manually process flight plans. This swift response ensured that ATC operations continued seamlessly without any interruption to flight movements.

A dedicated team comprising officials from Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) and AAI remains stationed on-site to monitor system stability and performance. The AMSS has since been restored to normal functionality, and while minor delays in automated processes may persist due to data backlog, full normalcy is expected shortly.

The AAI expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to airlines and passengers, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational safety, reliability, and service excellence across India’s air traffic management network.
