At a ceremony held at the India Habitat Centre, Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Dr Virendra Kumar unveiled ALIMCO’s new corporate logo and launched the 3-Wheeler EV Scooter and the Clip-on Motorised Wheelchair. Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment B. L. Verma was also present.

Dr Kumar said ALIMCO had evolved over five decades from a manufacturing unit into a national institution recognised for innovation and empathy. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than 32 lakh Divyang beneficiaries had been supported across the country, with ALIMCO playing a pivotal role in supplying high-quality assistive devices.

Speaking at the event, Verma said the newly launched mobility solutions would enhance dignity and independence for users and reflected India’s expanding capabilities in inclusive technology.

Additional Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Manmeet Kaur Nanda described the day as a milestone in ALIMCO’s journey towards self-reliance and inclusion. She highlighted ongoing collaborations with over 80 start-ups and the organisation’s push towards AI-assisted and smart assistive technologies. She also acknowledged the contributions of ALIMCO employees and shared stories of beneficiaries whose lives had been transformed through assistive interventions.

Introducing the corporation’s new identity, ALIMCO CMD Praveen Kumar said the redesigned purple logo symbolises dignity, inclusion and engineering excellence, underscoring the organisation’s commitment to modern, high-impact solutions.

The event was attended by senior officials from the ministry, allied organisations, and employees of ALIMCO.
