Avaada signs MoU with Gopalpur port to set up green ammonia storage facility in Odisha

The MoU aims to establish a cutting-edge storage facility dedicated to storing of green ammonia at the Gopalpur port

New Delhi: Avaada Group, on October 20 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gopalpur Port Limited to set up a green ammonia storage facility in Odisha. The company, however, did not disclose the capacity and the investment involved in the proposed project, according to an official release.

"This strategic alliance aims to establish a cutting-edge storage facility dedicated to storing green ammonia at the Gopalpur port, marking a pivotal moment in the journey towards greener future," Avaada Group said in a statement.

Green ammonia is an eco-friendly solution and can play a crucial role in steering hard-to-decarbonise sectors towards net-zero emissions.

Last month, the Group signed an MoU with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited to establish a green ammonia manufacturing facility within the Special Economic Zone, the official release said.
