New Delhi: In a significant move aimed at enhancing logistical efficiency, Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BEML Limited to provide comprehensive logistics solutions for BEML’s export-import (EXIM) and domestic operations.

The MoU was officially exchanged on January 20, in Bengaluru by Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Chairman & Managing Director and Director (Service Businesses) - Additional Charge, Balmer Lawrie, and Shantanu Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, BEML Limited. The ceremony witnessed the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

This collaboration marks a step forward in enabling BEML to concentrate on its core competencies—production and sales—while leveraging Balmer Lawrie’s expertise in end-to-end logistics. By offering integrated, tailored logistics solutions, Balmer Lawrie aims to ensure the seamless movement of all types of cargo, enhancing operational efficiency.

The agreement, valid for three years, underscores the commitment of both organizations to innovation and excellence. While Balmer Lawrie brings its vast experience and infrastructure in logistics, BEML is poised to gain strategic advantages that align with its operational goals in the defence, rail, and metro sectors.

This partnership reinforces the critical role that public sector undertakings play in fostering collaboration to achieve national objectives, paving the way for sustainable growth.
