New Delhi: State-owned GAIL (India) Limited informed the stock exchanges on Monday that its Board of Directors have approved the payment of interim dividend for the financial year 2022-2023. "The Board of Directors of the company in 454th meeting held on Monday have approved the payment of interim dividend for the FY 2022-23 at the rate of 40 percent (Rs 4 per equity share) on the paid-up equity share capital of the company," it said.
The company also added that the record date for the payment of interim dividend will be March 21. Further, it said in a statement that based on current shareholding of central government which holds 51.52 percent of the total shares, dividend of approximately Rs 1,355 crore shall be paid to the central government, while other shareholders will receive approximately Rs 1,275 crore."
Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL stated in a statement that the company has been providing shareholders with a steady long-term return on their investments.
