Under the agreement, ACES India has designed and implemented an advanced In-Building Solution (IBS) system to extend BSNL’s mobile network coverage to all underground stations and tunnels of the Kanpur Metro. This technological integration ensures that passengers traveling through these stretches will experience full signal strength and consistent data connectivity.

The initiative was officially unveiled during a live demonstration, where passengers experienced uninterrupted mobile services throughout the underground network. The event highlighted the successful execution of the connectivity solution, reaffirming the commitment of both BSNL and ACES India to improving commuter experiences through state-of-the-art digital infrastructure.

Speaking at a press conference, Prabhansh Yadav, General Manager at BSNL, said, “It is a proud moment for BSNL to successfully deliver robust and seamless network services across the underground sections of the Kanpur Metro. Our collaboration with ACES India ensures a superior connectivity experience for passengers and marks a significant step forward in the development of smart infrastructure in India.”

Echoing the sentiment, Mohammed N. Mazher, Managing Director of ACES India, added, “Our agreement with BSNL for Kanpur Metro reflects ACES India’s commitment to building resilient telecom infrastructures that enable smart, connected mobility solutions. We are proud to contribute to India's modern transportation networks by ensuring passengers stay connected, even deep underground.”

The successful deployment underscores BSNL’s growing role in powering smart city and smart mobility initiatives, while also positioning ACES India as a leader in next-generation telecom solutions. This development is expected to significantly improve the daily commuting experience in Kanpur and serve as a model for similar urban infrastructure projects across the country.
