New Delhi: Mukesh Choudhary, Director (Marketing) of Coal India Limited (CIL), presided over a consumer meet held in Mumbai on Thursday to announce the introduction of a new sub-sector focused on the production of syngas through coal gasification. The event, attended by Anandji Prasad, Advisor Projects from the Ministry of Coal (MoC), witnessed the presence of senior officials from CIL.

Interactive session provided opportunity for consumers to engage with CIL representatives

The interactive session provided an opportunity for consumers to engage with CIL representatives and have their queries and concerns addressed regarding the newly introduced syngas production. Syngas, also known as synthetic gas or producer gas, is produced through the gasification of coal, offering an alternative energy source and contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.

The consumer meet highlighted CIL's commitment to exploring innovative solutions and diversifying its product portfolio to meet the evolving energy needs of the nation. By venturing into syngas production, CIL aims to harness the potential of coal gasification technology to produce a cleaner and more sustainable energy resource.
