New Delhi: Coal India Limited (CIL) has organised a workshop on “weighbridge operations & maintenance with vulnerability management” at its corporate office in Kolkata. CIL's Chairman PM Prasad, Director (P&IR) Vinay Ranjan, Director (Technical) Dr B Veera Reddy, Director (Finance) Mukesh Agrawal and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Brajesh Kumar Tripathy were present on the occasion.

Prof. KM Bhurchandi, the guest speaker emphasized the pivotal role of weighbridge automation in enhancing efficiency and transparency in coal handling operations. He also underscored the significance of integrating new technologies, with a special focus on Digital Weighing Systems.

Senior officials from the Electronics and Telecommunications (E&T) Division, along with officers overseeing weighbridge operations across Coal India subsidiaries attended the Workshop via physical and virtual modes.
