Cochin Shipyard subsidiary secures repeat order for 2 luxury river cruise vessels

Hooghly-CSL has secured a repeat order from Heritage River Journeys Private Limited for the construction of two luxury river cruise vessels

New Delhi: Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (Hooghly-CSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), has secured a repeat order from Heritage River Journeys Private Limited for the construction of two luxury river cruise vessels.

According to a regulatory filing by Cochin Shipyard Limited, the order has been classified as a “Notable” order under the company's order classification framework. The latest contract follows an earlier order placed by Heritage River Journeys in June 2025.

The two vessels are expected to be delivered by June 2029 and June 2030, respectively, according to the filing.

The order further strengthens Hooghly-CSL's engagement with Heritage River Journeys in the luxury river cruise vessel segment. However, the disclosure does not specify the exact contract value, individual vessel specifications or other technical details.

Cochin Shipyard Limited also clarified that neither its promoters, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract. The order does not fall under the purview of related-party transactions.

The company disclosed the development to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited on October 9, 2026, in accordance with applicable regulatory disclosure requirements.
