Gupta said industrial development remains a government priority and assured that funding would not be a constraint in modernising industrial infrastructure. She said no industrial area in the capital would be excluded from the development programme.

The projects are expected to improve connectivity, reduce waterlogging and create better operating conditions for industries.

Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said inadequate infrastructure development over the past 25 years had left several industrial areas struggling with deteriorating roads and poor civic facilities.

According to the Industries Department, the projects cover Rajasthani Udyog Nagar, GTK Udyog Nagar, Naraina Industrial Area, Lawrence Road, Najafgarh (Rama Road), DLF Moti Nagar, Nangloi Jat and S-Block, and Okhla Phase II, among other locations.
