The collaboration seeks to engage startups working on technologies across heating, ventilation and air conditioning, advanced control systems, and digitalisation in manufacturing and service operations.
"As part of the initiative, the Startup India initiative under DPIIT and Voltas Limited will explore organising innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge and conducting hackathons focused on industry-related problem statements," it said.
Under the partnership, DPIIT, through the Startup India initiative, will work with Voltas Ltd to identify startups aligned with emerging industry requirements.
Selected startups may receive mentorship, technical guidance, access to testing infrastructure, and opportunities for market linkages to support product development, it said.
"Focus areas may include energy-efficient cooling systems, air-quality monitoring and filtration technologies, advanced inverter controls, predictive maintenance solutions, refrigerant safety systems, and digital tools for installation and servicing," it added.
