DVC is working towards equivalent tariffs in West Bengal and Jharkhand: Chairman

During Consumers’ Meet 2024, the DVC Chairman outlined the company's vision for retail consumer growth and highlighted that DVC is working towards equivalent tariffs in the states of West Bengal and Jharkhand

New Delhi: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) organised 'Consumers’ Meet 2024' on the theme “Energizing Sustainability – A Path to Energy Conservation and Prosperity “for its Consumers of West Bengal at Durgapur on April 5. Around 75 numbers of retail consumers of DVC in the state of West Bengal attended the meet.

The DVC Chairman S Suresh Kumar (IAS) interacted with retail consumers of DVC directly and addressed their grievances in the forum.

In the Consumer Meet, the Chairman outlined DVC’s vision for retail consumer growth and highlighted that DVC is working towards equivalent tariffs in the states of West Bengal and Jharkhand. He also enumerated on Renewable Power integration into the cumulative power portfolio of DVC, open access policy and several consumer-centric initiatives being adopted by DVC.

“Consumer of the Year” awards were presented by the Chairman, DVC to acknowledge the best consumers of DVC.

The event was attended by the DVC Member (Finance) Arup Sarkar, ED (Commercial) Sanjiv Shrivastav, ED (System) DK Singh, ED (Distribution) Rajesh Kumar and other senior executives of DVC.
